Electrical Mechanical Technician

Glucovation develops technologies and products for continuous glucose monitoring. This is a position for a passionate and energetic individual with critical thinking skills. The successful candidate will work as an Electrical Mechanical Technician in Glucovation’s Engineering Group. Working closely with a highly motivated team of scientists and engineers, the candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

  • Assemble manufacturing fixtures and electrical assemblies
  • Support and maintain cleanroom/control environment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and set –up production tooling
  • Support R&D activities and QC testing requirements
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
  • Basic understanding of electronic and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common lab equipment and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic with a willingness to learn

Qualifications

  • Problem solving skills and root cause analysis
  • Proficient in interpreting electronic schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and work quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a regulated environment
  • Experience in working in a start-up environment
  • GMP/GLP/ISO Medical Device Manufacturing

Lab Technician

Glucovation develops technologies and products for continuous glucose monitoring. This is a position for a passionate and energetic individual with critical thinking skills. The successful candidate will work as a Lab Technician in Glucovation’s Chemistry Group. Working closely with a highly motivated team of scientists and engineers, the candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

  • Assemble small components under the microscope
  • Prepare test solutions and test fixtures
  • Perform sensor testing and evaluation
  • Maintain laboratory and chemical inventory
  • Collect, organize, and process data
  • Write and implement SOPs, Test Protocols, and Test Reports
  • Record all data and procedures in a well-maintained, detailed laboratory notebook, and summarize results in technical memos and in presentations

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and work quality

Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year industry experience with hands-on experience in a wet-lab laboratory environment
  • Experience in a medical device startup environment
